What You Will Find on the Exchange
Our exchange range covers surplus crusher spares that are suitable for day to day plant use, planned shutdown work and urgent replacements. The stock changes often because parts move between sites in Middelburg, eMalahleni, Rustenburg, Polokwane, Kathu, Pietermaritzburg, Secunda and Lydenburg. You will see a mix of usable spares, reconditionable items and parts that are best suited to exchange or scrap value depending on their wear and service history.
Each listing is kept practical. We focus on what the part is, where it came from, what condition it is in and whether it is ready to fit, needs cleaning, or should be matched against a specific machine before release.
How to Choose the Right Listing
Start with fitment first. Crusher spares can look similar across different units but still vary in mounting points, shaft sizes, liners, thicknesses and wear patterns. If you are not sure, send the model details, the part number if available, and a photo of the worn item. That helps our team compare the listing against your plant before transport is arranged.
For shutdowns and fast turnarounds, choose parts that have clear condition notes and confirmed dimensions. If the part is going into a high-dust quarry or a wet washing section, ask about corrosion, pitting and past wear on contact surfaces. For coastal sites, we also check for rust and storage marks because humidity can affect how quickly a part goes back into service.
- Match the machine model and part number where possible
- Check whether the item is ready to fit or needs further work
- Ask for measurements, photos and wear notes before collection
- Confirm if the part suits a shutdown, standby or long term fit
Inspection, Condition and Readiness
Every item that passes through our yard is handled with inspection in mind. Sibusiso Ndlovu and the inspection team check visible wear, cracks, bent sections, broken lugs, old weld repairs and other signs that affect service life. We do not overstate condition. If a part is fair, serviceable or only suitable for exchange value, that is what we say.
Condition reporting matters because many plants run on tight timelines and cannot afford guesswork. A part that looks good from a distance may still be unsuitable if the wear face is uneven or the mounting points have been stressed. We aim to give you a clear read so you can decide whether to buy, exchange or keep searching.
Storage, Packing and Yard Handling
Our Middelburg base is set up for safe holding of surplus crusher spares while buyers and sellers sort out the exchange. Johan Steenkamp manages yard storage and keeps items palletised, labelled and separated by size and condition. That reduces mix ups and makes loading easier when a part needs to move quickly.
We also handle packing for road transport. Bulky items are secured for local collections and long distance delivery, with attention to weight balance and handling during transit. In winter and during load-shedding periods, proper storage is important because idle equipment and exposed steel can pick up moisture and surface rust if left in the wrong place.
- Palletising for safe handling and loading
- Wrapped or strapped where appropriate
- Separated by client, machine type and condition
- Stored for short term or longer holding periods
Exchange, Consignment and Scrap Versus Value
Not every surplus part should go straight back into service. Some items are better suited to consignment sales, while others should be compared as scrap versus exchange value. Anika van Zyl works with clients to determine whether the best route is a direct swap, a sale through the network, or a recovery decision based on the remaining condition of the part.
This approach helps quarries and mines keep costs controlled. Instead of letting usable spares sit in a yard, you can release them into the right channel and recover value for other plant needs. It also supports better use of materials across South African sites, especially where replacement lead times can slow production.
How Our Network Supports Your Site
From Middelburg, we support quarry and mine teams across South Africa with local collections, nationwide delivery and urgent spares search when a plant cannot wait. Lerato Maseko coordinates operations, Mpho Rakoma manages logistics, and Nokuthula Dlamini handles client support so requests move through quickly and in order.
Whether you are in eMalahleni with a high throughput plant, in Rustenburg with heavy wear demand, or further out in Kathu or Pietermaritzburg, the goal is the same: get the right spare to the right site with less waste and less delay. If you need a listing checked, compared or reserved, use the enquiry form on our contact page and we will take it from there.
