Terms of use

These Terms of Use apply to Crusher Spare Exchange, operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd, for users accessing the enquiry and exchange service from South Africa. By submitting an enquiry, listing spares, or using our services, you agree to these terms and to any lawful instructions issued for yard, inspection, storage, packing and delivery activities.

1. Acceptance of these website terms

Crusher Spare Exchange is based in Middelburg, Mpumalanga and supports quarry and mine users across South Africa, including eMalahleni, Rustenburg, Polokwane, Kathu, Pietermaritzburg, Secunda and Lydenburg. These terms apply to all visitors, clients and other users who access the site, submit an enquiry, or ask for a quotation, inspection, storage arrangement or exchange service.

Use of the site confirms that you are acting on behalf of a lawful business or with authority to do so. If you do not agree with these terms, you must stop using the site and must not submit listing information or requests through the enquiry form.

2. Nature of the surplus spares service

Crusher Spare Exchange provides a marketplace and handling service for surplus crusher spares, including listing, condition reporting, storage, palletising, packing, collection, delivery and consignment sales. The service is intended to support the lawful exchange of used parts between quarries, mines and related operations. It is not a guarantee that any specific part will be available, suitable or immediately fit for use.

  • All descriptions, counts and measurements must be supplied honestly and as accurately as possible.
  • Parts may be inspected, photographed and recorded before being accepted into the yard or offered for exchange.
  • We may reject items that are unsafe, unidentified, contaminated, badly damaged or not suitable for handling.

3. User responsibilities and item accuracy

You are responsible for providing correct part details, condition notes, photos, dimensions and any known history relevant to the item. If you request a fitment check or urgent spares search, you must supply the machine model, serial details where available, and any dimensions required for verification. Any mistake in the information you provide may affect pricing, turnaround time or whether the part is accepted.

You must also make sure that all items supplied to us are owned by you or that you have written authority to deal with them. We may rely on the information you provide and we are not obliged to investigate ownership beyond reasonable commercial checks.

4. Inspections, yard storage and collections

Inspection, storage and handling may take place at the Middelburg Yard or at one of our regional service areas. Where items are stored on site, they remain subject to yard rules, municipal requirements and any safety controls needed for loading, offloading and access. Storage is limited to the space and time agreed, and we may move or repack stock if required for safety or better access.

  • Collections must be arranged for suitable vehicles and lifting equipment.
  • We may require proof of authority before releasing any item.
  • Items left without confirmed instructions may be held, reclassified or charged for storage.

5. Delivery, risk and exchange transactions

We arrange local collections and nationwide delivery where practical, including to quarry and mine sites in South Africa. Delivery times are estimates only and may be affected by load-shedding, road conditions, weather, site access, strike action, or delays at depots and border-adjacent routes. Once items are handed to the nominated carrier or collected by your team, risk passes in line with the agreed release point.

Any exchange, sale or scrap versus exchange decision must be confirmed in writing through the enquiry process. If a part is sold as scrap, exchanged, or accepted on consignment, the final commercial terms will depend on the agreed condition, weight, identification and acceptance of the item.

6. Liability, lawful use and contact limits

We take reasonable care in listing, inspecting, storing and arranging delivery, but we do not accept liability for indirect loss, lost production, delay, or consequential damage arising from use of the site or any transaction, except where liability cannot be excluded by law. Users remain responsible for checking that any part is suitable for their intended application before installation or use.

You must not misuse the site, submit false instructions, interfere with other users, or attempt unauthorised access to any part of the service. All valid service requests must be submitted through the enquiry form on the contact page. We do not accept instructions through informal channels unless confirmed by us in writing.

7. Changes to these terms and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect operational changes, storage practices, delivery arrangements or legal requirements. The latest version will apply from the date it is published and continued use of the site means you accept the updated terms. If any part of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from use of the site or the exchange service will be handled in South Africa and in line with the applicable law and procedures.
