Quarry and Mine Sites We Support
We work with a wide spread of quarry and mining operations that handle hard rock, aggregate, sand and ore. Some sites run steady production all year, others need a quicker response during shutdowns, breakdowns or plant changeovers. Our Middelburg base supports enquiries from eMalahleni, Rustenburg, Polokwane, Kathu, Pietermaritzburg, Secunda and Lydenburg, with spares moving between sites where the part still has useful life left.
Because every plant wears differently, we do not treat a spare as a simple box on a shelf. A jaw, cone, impact or screen component needs to suit the machine, the duty cycle, and the material being crushed. That is why we list, inspect and sort surplus stock by application rather than just by description.
How To Choose The Right Exchange Route
If your site has surplus crusher spares, the first question is whether the item is still fit for exchange, repair or scrap. We help you decide using condition checks, fitment checks and practical wear assessment. For urgent cases, our team can move quickly on shutdown sourcing and local collections so your plant does not sit waiting for a part that could have been exchanged from another quarry.
- Choose surplus listing when the part is serviceable and may suit another site
- Choose inspection and reporting when condition needs to be confirmed before sale or swap
- Choose scrap vs exchange when wear is borderline and value depends on usable life
- Choose urgent spares search when production pressure is higher than usual
Why Location Matters For Quarry Spares
Crusher spares do not always behave the same in every region. A coastal site may face corrosion and salt air, while a dry inland plant may deal more with dust ingress and heat. Some quarries in the north need faster delivery because stock is far from the nearest exchange partner, while other sites prefer yard storage until a shutdown window opens. We handle these practical differences every day from our Middelburg yard.
Our logistics team can arrange palletising and packing for long-distance movement, and our storage yard helps keep items safe while decisions are being made. Load-shedding, transport delays and municipal timing can all affect a delivery window, so we keep communication direct and realistic.
What We Keep Moving Between Sites
We focus on surplus crusher spares that still have value in another quarry or mine. That includes items removed during planned maintenance, changeouts, plant upgrades or emergency stoppages. The aim is to keep useful parts in circulation and reduce avoidable spend on new stock when a solid used option will do the job.
- Crusher components from jaw, cone and impact plants
- Screen and feeder related wear items
- Fasteners, housings and support components where condition allows
- Matched sets that need inspection before release
When a part arrives at our yard, Johan Steenkamp oversees storage and handling, while Sibusiso Ndlovu checks the condition notes and fitment details. That process helps avoid mix ups and saves time when a buyer needs stock in a hurry.
How We Help During Shutdowns And Breakdowns
Shutdown work leaves little room for delays, especially when a plant has only one maintenance window and the crew is already on site. Our operations team, led by Lerato Maseko and supported by Mpho Rakoma, handles collections, packing and delivery planning so parts can move without unnecessary back-and-forth. If the request is time sensitive, we look at what is available now, what can be inspected immediately and what can be released for exchange.
We also assist with consignment sales where a quarry wants to recover value from stock that is not needed on site. That gives the item a better chance of finding the next user instead of sitting in a store for months.
Working With Quarries Across South Africa
Our exchange supports buyers and sellers across the country, from larger operations near Gauteng and the North West to remote sites in the Northern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal. Thabo Johannes Mokoena has led the business since 2012, with Anika van Zyl handling sales and exchange coordination and Nokuthula Dlamini managing client support. The team works to keep the process practical: clear condition notes, fair exchange discussions and delivery arranged to suit the site.
If you are looking to list surplus spares, source a replacement, or compare scrap value against exchange value, this is where the conversation starts. The listing cards on this hub are added separately, so use the enquiry form on our contact page to tell us what you have, what you need and how urgently it must move.
