Request a Part

Send us your spare requirement and our team will search available exchange stock across South Africa. We help quarries and mines source suitable crusher parts quickly, with inspection, storage, collection and delivery handled from Middelburg.

Send the part details we need

Start by sending the part you need through the enquiry form on our contact page. The more detail you give us the faster we can check available exchange stock and identify the right item for your plant.

Please include the crusher type, part name, dimensions if known, the machine model, and whether you need a used part for immediate fitment or a part for inspection before collection. If you have a photo, nameplate image or worn sample, add that too. It helps our team narrow the search and avoid back-and-forth while your site is waiting on spares.

  • Part name and machine model
  • Required size, weight, or fitment details
  • Site location and preferred delivery timing
  • Whether the job is planned maintenance or an urgent breakdown

How our search process works

Once we receive your request, Anika van Zyl and the sales and exchange team check current surplus spares coming through our Middelburg base and the wider network in eMalahleni, Rustenburg, Polokwane, Kathu, Pietermaritzburg, Secunda and Lydenburg. If the item is available, we confirm the condition, exchange option, and any packing or storage needs before moving ahead.

For urgent breakdowns, we prioritise shutdown sourcing and urgent spares search requests first. If we can match the part from exchange stock, we will advise what is available now and what may need further inspection. Where a part is not fit for reuse, we will say so clearly and help you separate scrap from exchange value so you do not waste time on the wrong item.

  • Request received through the enquiry form
  • Stock checked against current surplus listings
  • Inspection and condition review arranged if needed
  • Delivery or collection plan confirmed

Inspection and condition reporting before release

Sibusiso Ndlovu manages inspection coordination so the part you request is checked before it leaves the yard. This is important for crusher spares because wear, cracks, liner damage and previous repairs can affect whether the item will perform properly on site.

We can provide condition reporting on selected items, including visible wear, measured dimensions, and notes on any damage that may affect fitment. If you need a fitment check, tell us upfront. That saves a lot of pain on site when a part arrives and the bolt pattern is off by a few millimetres, or the mating surface has more wear than expected.

  • Visual inspection and basic measurement
  • Condition notes for wear, cracks and missing components
  • Fitment check where the machine details are provided
  • Release only after the item has been approved for the request

Storage, packing and collection from the yard

Johan Steenkamp oversees yard and storage control, which matters when parts need to stay safe before dispatch. Some crusher spares are heavy, awkward to move, or sensitive to rust and surface damage, especially in coastal humidity or after long storage. We keep items packed and stored so they are ready when your collection window opens.

For local collections, we can assist with palletising and packing to make handling easier at your site. If your team is collecting from Middelburg, we will help prepare the load for safe transport and make sure the part is identified correctly. In winter and during load-shedding periods, communication can get messy on mine sites, so clear labelling and paperwork matter more than people think.

  • Palletising and packing for heavy parts
  • Yard storage before release or dispatch
  • Local collections arranged from our Middelburg base
  • Clear marking for part identification and handover

Nationwide delivery to mines and quarries

Mpho Rakoma handles logistics so your part can move from our base to sites across South Africa. We regularly support quarry and mining operations in eMalahleni, Rustenburg, Polokwane, Kathu and Pietermaritzburg, with delivery arranged to suit site access rules and receiving times.

Where municipal rules, weighbridge limits or site induction requirements apply, we work around those conditions before dispatch. If your plant is in a remote area or your shutdown window is short, let us know the loading bay hours and any access restrictions. That helps us plan the route and reduce avoidable delays.

  • Nationwide delivery for approved exchange parts
  • Route planning for remote mining and quarry sites
  • Support with load timing and site access requirements
  • Delivery to receiving points where direct plant access is restricted

What to expect after you submit a request

After you submit the enquiry, Nokuthula Dlamini and the client support team will keep you informed on the next step. If the part is available, we will confirm the exchange option, inspection status, and any storage or dispatch detail. If we need more information, we will ask for it directly so the request does not stall.

Founded in 2012 and led by Thabo Johannes Mokoena, Crusher Spare Exchange was set up to help quarries and mines move surplus crusher spares into useful service instead of leaving them idle. That means your request is handled with a practical focus on condition, value and turnaround, not just listing a part and hoping for the best.

  • Fast feedback if more detail is needed
  • Clear confirmation once a matching part is found
  • Options for exchange, inspection or consignment sales
  • Support for shutdowns, urgent breakdowns and planned maintenance

Questions we get asked

What details should I send for a crusher spare request?

Send the part name, machine model, size or measurement details if available, your site location, and whether the request is for urgent breakdown support or planned maintenance. A photo or nameplate image helps a lot.

Do you handle requests for sites outside Middelburg?

Yes. We support quarries and mines across South Africa, including eMalahleni, Rustenburg, Polokwane, Kathu and Pietermaritzburg, with nationwide delivery arranged where needed.

Can you check if a used part is suitable before it is sent?

Yes. We inspect selected items and can provide condition reporting and fitment checks where the machine details are supplied. If a part is not suitable for reuse, we will say so clearly.
